New York, (ANI): Troubled star Lindsay Lohan"s new attorney is Robert Shapiro, who has previously represented O.J. Simpson. Shapiro has confirmed representing LiLo in her drug and alcohol case but only on the condition that the star serves her jail sentence.

“I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel," the New York Post quoted Shapiro as saying.

"Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with. Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan's long term recovery and sobriety," he added.

Previously, Shawn Chapman Holley represented the star in the case.

She AGREED? What a relief! For a few days, at least, some people may be able to safely cross the street without fear of being disemboweled under the wheels of this drunken, self centered, floozy's car. "suffering from a disease" ... right ... everyone who stupidly submits to indulging themselves in illegal activity has a disease. Puhleeze!

How ironic: Shapiro persuaded Lindsay to submit to her well-deserved jail sentence, yet he defended the double murderer O.J. Simpson. The fame of the despicable Kardashian family is also based on their late paterfamilias' defense of the same killer.

Insulting headline! What she needs to agree to do is stop drinking and driving and also agree to stop being some little prima donna that holds herself above the law and above the rest of us peasants!!!

Agreed to serve time? She has no choice, LOL. She is going to jail and all the money in the world cannot prevent that.

I agree. Of course it was Shapiro who said he agrees to rep Lohan if she agrees to serve the jail sentence. However, it does sound as though she might decline the invitation to serve time in jail. HUH!!?
