Angelina's father attacks Barack Obama

Washington (ANI): Actor John Voight has blasted US President Barack Obama, calling him a 'false prophet". The 70-year-old star, whose daughter is Angelina Jolie, launched the scathing attack while hosting a fundraiser for the U.S. Republican Party in Washington, D.C. on Monday.

In his fiery speech to the assembled audience he said that the Democrat had fooled people into voting Obama into the White House by promising change. Insisting that the President"s administration had thus far been a failure, Voight"s views about the Democrat party were challenging his daughter"s belief who has been a strong supporter of the Obama administration, Contactmusic reported.

"Are we supposed to be sitting and waiting, watching for the possibility of a new Holocaust? Who''s going to take the responsibility to keep America, I mean Israel, safe? I''ll tell you why this really scares the hell out of me. Everything Obama has recommended has turned out to be disastrous," the Midnight Cowboy star exclaimed.

He added, "Obama really thinks he is a soft-spoken Julius Caesar. He think he''s going to conquer the world with his soft-spoken sweet talk and really think he''s going to bring all of the enemies of the world into a little playground, where they''ll swing each other back and forth."

Voight, in his speech, went on to call for the Republican Party to rally together to resume power. "We and we alone are the right frame of mind to free this nation from this Obama oppression. Let''s give thanks to (Republicans) for not giving up and staying the course to bring an end to this false prophet, Obama," the actor suggested.

People for health care 05 Jul 2010 05:10 am
There are many of us out here who KNOW something must change in the health care system! It isn't about that for not one itelligent truthful person who has ever expolred health care would tell you we do not need change. Every doctor who is honest knows this. Look where we are according to the WHO! 38th in the World is a crime! This is about politics as always. As for myself, I don't belive this country will change, we are split down the middle and if there isn't onething all people on both side...
mom of three sick kids 05 Jul 2010 05:01 am
I agree everyone has the right to speech but calling our President names is wrong as a strong Christian. My husband is out of work and it IS because our kids are sick. We both have education and are hard working but when you have three sick kids and I we took two of them to the best hospitals in the US who told us only one had it and it was not genetic. We suffer being attacked for having them and we have absoutly nothing, no home, no college, nothing. We have been blessed by God and He has...

This Country allows for it's inhabitants to speak freely. It's called Freedom, and we still have that privilidge here in the U.S. There are some Countries on this globe that do not allow freedom. Many of you may not know that. Some of those political phylosophies in those Countries do not allow religion of any kind either, and discussing leadership in those Counties is forbidden...politics are forbidden. So I say....ride on John Voight! Say what you want to say as long as you take into...

You mean 16 % more of black americans who have never voted finally came out to vote. Mr. Obama got lucky. He's a car salesman..of course the best car salesman I've ever seen. However you sir and your children are going to pay dearly for an inexperienced business man who is slowly but surely adopting european ideology. I certainly don't mind helping those who NEED help but this country is a profitable country. Government does not work to provide profit to keep people working. American...

It is about time some of the people in Hollyweird get a clue. I am so sick of the flaming liberals praising the mistakes Obama is making. I wonder how her daughter and hubby will react to the truth.

Gosh, I always liked Jon Voight and am disappointed about his political views, as I very much disagree with them, but I'm glad that this country makes room for all to express themselves freely. I'm confused as to what exactly is such a disaster in this country. True, I think we're all concerned about the deficit, but that didn't happen overnight and there do seem to be a few indications that the economy is beginning to bottom out and show hope of recovery. As for his stances internationally, I am glad to see a world leader, especially someone with as much status as the President of the United States of America calling for reason and consensus to solve our common problems, having a vision for the future, while asking us to remember empathy for our fellow man and reminding us of the Golden Rule.
