Washington (ANI): Actress Vanessa Hudgens has dismissed reports that she is eyeing a role in the Twilight sequel New Moon. Its been reported that Vanessa, who shot to fame with 'High School Musical' series, auditioned for the part of female werewolf Leah Clearwater in Stephenie Meyer's vampire franchise.

However, a rep for the actress star has dismissed the reports, branding the recent audition 'just a rumour'. "I don't know anything about the audition. As far as I know, it's just a rumour," Contactmusic quoted the rep, as telling eCanadanow.com.

Washington (ANI): Chris Weitz will direct the sequel to 'Twilight', 'New Moon'. Summit Entertainment made the announcement less than a week after record-breaking Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke revealed that she wouldn't helm the film's sequel.The US filmmaker feels that she needs more time to work on the film and could not commit to a late 2009-early 2010 release date, according to reports.
