London (ANI): Actress Scarlett Johansson has slammed reports comparing her to former screen siren Marilyn Monroe. The beauty insisted that she doesn't share much with the 50s actress. The Lost In Translation star was compared with Monroe after she appeared in an advertising campaign for Dolce & Gabbana last month (Jan 09).
The advert features Johansson posing seductively across silk bedsheets wearing just a corset. However, the actress maintains that she wasn't trying to emulate Monroe in the shots. "We really weren't trying to recreate any particular image. It was just their idea of the iconic blonde, and naturally people think that's Marilyn Monroe," The Daily Express quoted her as saying.
She added: "Having said that, I love Marilyn. I think she was incredibly beautiful and a very underrated actress. I am a curvy woman who is blonde, and perhaps we are both comfortable in our femininity, but I think that is as far as the comparison goes."
