Sachsgate scandal, a silly lark for Russell Brand
London (ANI): In a comeback stand-up show, shamed comedian Russell Brand has described the Sachsgate scandal as 'only silly larking around'. "The news became like my own show," the Mirror quoted Brand, as saying. "Everytime I left my house it could be seen by millions of people. I didn't realise it was so serious," he added.

The former BBC host had to resign from his job owing to a scandal that had risen from his vulgar behaviour towards Andrew Sachs, best known for his portrayal of 'Manuel' in the TV comedy 'Fawlty Towers'.

The 78-year-old Sachs, who had been due to be a phone-in guest on a late-night radio show, on being unavailable had received four messages on his home phone from Brand and DJ Jonathan Ross claiming the former had slept with his granddaughter, Georgina Baillie.
