Robert Pattinson is a sloppy dresser, says expert

Monday, October 5, 2009, 15:30 [IST]
Washington (ANI): Twilight actor Robert Pattinson, who is presently dating his New Moon co-star Kristen Stewart, has been labelled a 'sloppy' dresser by a top U.S. fashion expert. Tim gunn, the revered Liz Claiborne CEO and Project Runway regular, has said that the Twilight star still has scope for grooming.

He claimed that the British actor could be a style king if he dressed up his image a little bit. "He could be stunning, but I think it's (his look) a little sloppy for my taste," Contactmusic quoted Gunn as saying.

Actually, his sloppy sense of dressing/hair and that casual sense of self are making him adorable and irresistable the most. Personally, I find some of those well tailored celebrities unattractive and pretentious. Some look like photocopied from a so called original form.

Umm he's a fashion expert of course he's going to critize him for dressing sloppy its his job lol. People chill out he was acutally nice saying that Rob could be stunning if he made better choices. And just because people copy your way of dressing doesn't mean you have a good fashion sense.

What's really sad, is that this "fashion expert" is tearing Rob down over something so insignificant. There's more to life than how you dress and in any case, I think people should be allowed to dress how they want. Everyone has a different style- and let's be honest; Robert Pattinson obviously doesn't take himself too seriously. I'm surprised this even made the news.

Who cares how Rob dresses? Actually, I don't see anything wrong with the way he dresses! If he's such a bad dresser then why do the "wannabes"...won't name names....dress like him and even cut their hair like his? Course, the rest of you "great dressers" better HOPE he stays dressed down because when he dresses up every guy in the room takes a hit on their ego. He's PERFECT!

Well.. this is how I feel.. what makes you the person you are is just wearing what you want and being able to express yourself that way. Rob is stuck inside all the time to even beable to dress up. I think his dressing is awesome and down to earth, like his personality. Makes me mad how people that are famous and so quick to judge.. Being in fashion means that you have to be up to date with ur clothes and worry all the time about what you wear. Its not worth it.. Rob don't change ur style for anyone and as long as ur comfortable keep it that way. I like male actors that are down to earth, that dont worry about themselves like Robert Pattinson, Jonny Depp, and etc. I love the way they dress

Ok, got it Tim Gunn. You are groomed extremely well. In your line of work, I would expect nothing less. However, has anyone bothered to actually listen to Rob when he's being interviewed? He doesn't care about his appearance all that much. He doesn't think he's attractive. He doesn't know what all the fuss is about in the USA. If he's being honest with interviewers, then grooming isn't too high up on his "to do" list. His not shaven, dissheveled appearance only hightens his appeal to young girls. His 'sloppy' dress, as you put it Tim, is apparently his 'style.' When he's photographed, for a photo shoot for a magazine, etc., he is dressed by whomever is handling the photo shoot. He also listens to the photographer & poses accordingly. Does anyone remember the original photo that was on the IMDb for the Twilight cast? He was literally scary looking & he wasn't made up to look like Edward Cullen. I don't know why the photo was removed. I thought it was great. The replacement photo has him in a tux or suit from an awards function no doubt. Let him be him. He's an actor/musician. He doesn't have to be a fashion icon if he doesn't want to be. Lastly, this is unrelated to his article; but, please girls get a grip on yourselves. Really!! If you are screaming so loud that no one can hear themselves think, it's way over the top!! How would you feel if every time you walked out your front door someone took your photo or started screaming????? You all need to 'Chillax' as Justin Chon (Eric) would put it!!

lol at "fisher" comment. Agreed, however I cannot even conjure an image of Robert Pattinson ironing! I doubt he would have any idea how to do it. I think he must have been quite taken care of by his mummy all his life..

I definitely think rob pattinson could use an iron and ironing board, b/c the collar of his shirts are always f#cked up

"could be stunning"?? open your eyes...he is stunning already! Rob is beautiful and doesn't need to change for anyone. I'm sure he couldn't care less anyway. Anyone he will publicly state that he doesn't see the point in washing his hair does not care about fashion.
