New York (ANI): Twilight author Stephenie Meyer has put her latest novel on hold 'indefinitely' after its unfinished manuscript was leaked online. Meyer, who was the biggest selling author of 2008, having sold over 22 million books in one year alone, revealed that following the leak of a rough draft of the 'Midnight Sun's first 12 chapters, she no longer wanted to return to the project.
"I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on 'Midnight Sun,' so it is on hold indefinitely," the New York Daily News quoted her saying on her Web site, stepheniemeyer.com. Her rep added: "Stephenie has no plans to move forward with 'Midnight Sun' at this time."
But it was revealed that Meyer had decided to pursue non-Twilight related books as a result of the leak. Her rep said: "Stephenie is working on something else at the moment. But she hasn't announced it yet. It isn't Twilight-related. When she's ready to reveal it, she will."
