Calvin Klein under fire for his threesome billboard

New York (ANI): A raunchy Calvin Klein billboard depicting a teenage girl in a threesome has come under fire for being 'borderline pornographic'. Passers-by have expressed their fury at the massive, sexually suggestive ad on a building at Lafayette and Houston Sts. in SoHo.

The endorsement shows a topless young woman on top of a bare chested lad, while engaged in a lip lock with a second shirtless male on a sofa. A third male with unbuttoned pants and shirt can be seen lying on the floor below the pair, with suggestions of a foursome.

"It's borderline pornographic," the New York Daily News quoted neighbourhood resident Lisa Marchese, a marketing specialist, as saying. "They all look so young, particularly the girl. And to portray them in a threesome - it's just taking it too far," she added.

Murray Hill resident Alicia Shay, who sells jeans for a living, added: "It's pretty provocative. Just the positioning of them all - she's kissing him, the other guy has his hands down her pants, they're all misty even. It''s really inappropriate."

A Calvin Klein spokesman denied the claims, saying that the "intention was to create a very sexy campaign that speaks to our targeted demographic."

i agree the billboard is inappropriate, however , before anyone starts acusing the ad of being degrading to women bear this in mind....there are MANY women out there that do a great job degrading themselves and prefer getting attention for being like the girl depicted in the ad, rather than for an intelligent woman of self respect and class.

What about the Mayor of NYC, doesn't the city council or the mayor's office have something to say about what is posted on billboards in their city? I think it is horrible and definitely sends the wrong message to everyone. Our society is becoming trashier and trashier. I believe in freedom of speech and expression but someone always has to push the envelope.

Its the media, always covering paris hilton and brittney spears, but its the parents who enable them by not ridiculing the media for doing it and explaining that this is not right. I'm of course not saying it's always because a parent doesnt communicate, I know some kids just dont listen. but its just getting crazy. and to be completely serious, I'm looking for a serious business woman who actually prefers to look decent. I just dont know anymore.

i also want to point out while this billboard is an indication of our deteriorating society, we should also NOT forget about the kinds of clothes we see places like the walmarts and the kmarts selling for young girls nowadays...it seems the message for girls is the trashier and cheap you look the more attention youll get and in todays world..its extremely evident, infact these girls go out of there way to look like paris hilton and brittney spears and they think acting "stupid" will get them more attention from guys. But, unfortunately, it does, but again, popularity is the most important thing today, substance, intelligence and integrity means nothing, and frankly the parents of these kids enable them, because their attitude is "every other kid has these clothes so why shouldnt mine" and oddly enough, they would most likely be the same people that would say there is nothing wrong with the billboard...that is until their 14 or 15 yr old daughters come home and tell mom and dad they're pregnant and they say to each other "how could this happen to us"?

im a guy and far from a prude but enough is enough..deb miller is EXACTLY right, unfortunately, however ck is getting what he wants here because while the HLN'S of the world plaster this story all over the airwaves AND ITS SEEN ALL OVER THE NET and we all scream for the add to be pulled...if it does and by the time it does he ,ck, will have already have gotten the "attention" and frankly more advertising from the media he could ever had hoped for. Now as far as the content of the billboard, we as a society, frankly have created our own monster and now were paying for it. this is the result of a world were EVERYTHING is tolerated and EVERYONE is allowed to do basically anything they want no matter how ridiculous because god forbid we let anyone be offended by saying NO, IT ISNT RIGHT ,so, now as ms miller pointed out our society and moral fiber goes to trash a little more each day. Hope i die before i get old.

This ad is beyond disgusting. I will never ever purchase Calvin Klein!

I will never buy anything CK after this ad. I also won't allow my children to own anything by him. This type of crap is why our society is so out of control, no morals, no ethics, no responsibility! We should all be speaking out against this.
