Jade Goody still lives

The whole world is mourning the death of the lively and courageous lady named Jade Goody. Born on 5 June, 1981, as Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody, she lived with her mother Jackiey Budden after her father Andrew Robert Goody left them. She earned name and fame with her sheer hard work and determination. In spite of the controversies around her, she had a heart of gold.

Jade Goody was scorned at for her racial remarks on her fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Shilpa Shetty but she realised her mistake. She not only apologised but also tried to heal the damage by participating in the Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, hosted by Shilpa. And it certainly takes lots of courage to say sorry and embrace friendship.

It was during the stay at the Bigg Boss that Jade Goody came to know that she had cervical cancer. She went back to England and there the ordeal began. She was under medication and fought the disease with courage without losing hope till the last couple of weeks before she died. She released a new autobiography, Jade: Catch A Falling Star in October, 2008.

Goody did not sulk even after the doctors announced that she had only a few weeks to live. In stead, she tried to live her life to the fullest. She married her boyfriend Jack Tweedy at a fairy-tale wedding on 22nd February, 2009. Most importantly, she turned to God in the last days of her life by reading the Holy Bible. She was also baptised along with her sons Bobby and Freddie, fathered by TV presenter Jeff Brazier.

Jade Goody was a mother that everyone would like to have. She loved her sons Bobby and Freddie like no one else. In spite of the criticisms on the media coverage of her death, she went ahead with her plan in order to make sure that her sons are taken care of even after her death. The fact that she wanted her favourite photos of her sons to be buried along with her unravelled the love of a mother.

And as fate has it, she died peacefully in her sleep on March 22, 2009, with her mother Jackiey, husband Jack Tweed and family friend Kevin Adams by her side. She died on Mother's Day, and exactly a month after she tied the knot with Tweed.

Jade Goody is no more but she still lives in the hearts of the people. Besides bringing about awareness on cervical cancer, she had shown the world how to live life to the fullest. The story of this courageous woman will inspire many generations to come.

The only thing I can say is that this article is VERY misleading. When I read it, I was relieved, thinking she was still alive. The writer needs to be more careful about his or her writing technique. I found it tasteless afterwards!
