JK Rowling casts a bad spell on Harry Potter's life

London, (ANI): It has emerged that British author JK Rowling"s wizard books has had a huge negative impact on the life of a young man who goes by the name of Harry Potter. The real-life Harry Potter, 20, has been facing nothing but misery ever since Rowling"s first book 'Harry Potter And The Philosopher"s Stone" came out, and he now has to cope with people"s reaction to his name on a daily basis.

His 47-year-old mother Tracey Shaw, who works as an accountant, thought little of the name when she picked it for her first child. “I named him Harry simply because I liked the name," the Daily Express quoted her as saying. “Harry"s biological father"s surname was Potter and that"s how Harry got his famous name," she explained.

She never in her life imagined that he would one day be forced to endure taunts from the public, police, phone companies and even a football referee because of his name. He had to show his girlfriend his passport when they first met, as she did not believe he was named Harry Potter, and having a scar on his forehead just like the wizard, played by Daniel Radcliffe in the films, did not help much.

Potter, from Portsmouth said he wished Rowling had never used his name for her books. “My life has changed completely since the books were written," he said. “At first I thought it might be quite a good thing to have the same name. But now it is like someone has cast a bad spell on me. The reactions I get from people range from making fun to plain aggressive," he added.

It's not really her fault!! It's not like she knew that was going to happen. It was just a name that she picked because it was so ordinary. There's not much she can do about it.

...really? He wishes she hadn't used "his" name? I'm sorry, but she didn't even know of his existence, let alone actively stole his name. If it bothers him that much, he should change it.
