Melbourne, (ANI): American screenwriter Dustin Lance Black has issued a public apology after a lovemaking tape and sordid photos of him hit the Internet.
Black, who had written the movie Milk and is an outspoken advocate of LGBT rights and safe sex, released a statement after sexually explicit photos showing him having unprotected sex leaked onto the Internet. The photos and videotape, which are reportedly for sale, have sent gay websites like Samesame.com.au into a frenzy.
“It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private," the Daily Telegraph quoted Black as saying in a statement released to E! Online"s Marc Malkin.
“I have had the privilege to speak to people across the country, both gay and straight, on a number of critical issues including safe sex. More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices," he added.
