[an error occurred while processing this directive]London (ANI): Kill Bill star David Carradine"s funeral was attended by hundreds of mourners, to pay their last respects to him.
The funeral was led by a procession of Hell"s Angels bikers, and mourners wore Indian headdresses, cowboy boots and kilts in tribute to the veteran film star, who died in a Bangkok hotel room 12 days ago. The celebrities who attended included Michael Madsen, 51, Lucy Liu, 40, Jane Seymour, 58, Tom Selleck, 64, and Rob Schneider, 45, who joined the actor"s family and friends in Hollywood for the service.
The bikers escorted a white hearse carrying Carradine"s coffin to the funeral at an LA hillside cemetery, and the actor"s elder brother Bruce described the service as “touching, but light-hearted". “There weren"t a lot of tears, but there was a lot of laughter," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
The funeral, which was an invitation-only service, was held indoors at the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, a 400-acre cemetery next to the city"s Griffith Park. It lasted over two hours and more than 400 mourners came to say goodbye to the 72-year-old.
The service booklet had a smiling photo of the actor on the front, and, on the back, it gave his date of birth and the date he “split", above lyrics to Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers Band.
