London (ANI): Comedian Russell Brand has revealed that he offered her his dirty underwear to legendary actress Dame Helen Mirren on the set of their new movie. The actors appear in a upcoming film adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', with Mirren taking on the role of Prospero and Brand playing jester Trinculo.

Brand said that when he found himself with an extra pair of briefs during an impromptu outfit change on-set, he quickly offered Mirren his spare underwear. "On the last day of filming I was running late, so I just shoved on a yellow pair of American Apparel underpants. At the end of filming I rushed back to my dressing room and spotted a black pair and thought I'd change," the Daily star quoted him, as saying.

"As I rushed out of the dressing room I came face-to-face with Helen, still holding my dirty pants head high. That's when I heard my voice saying: ''Would you like these?'' She took them and said ''Thank you''. Why? Because she was being polite because she's a Dame," he added.
