London (ANI): English actress Kate Winslet's daughter Mia is about to have a step-brother or step-sister as her father Jim Threapleton is expecting a child with his second wife Julie. Threapleton, who directed the film Extraordinary Rendition and who divorced Winslet in 2001 after three years of marriage, revealed the news in an interview with Mandrake.
"She is in the mid stages of her pregnancy and as yet we don't know what sex the baby will be," the Telegraph quoted Threapleton, 34, who is currently working on a new thriller called Exposure, as saying. "Obviously we hope that our child will get to know Mia and take his or her place in the extended family," he added.
Winslet, who remained on good terms with Threapleton after the divorce, is 'delighted' by the news.
