Scientology being driven into Suri Cruise

Melbourne (ANI): She hasn't even celebrated her second birthday yet, but Suri Cruise's famous parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes treat her as an adult. According to British magazine Star, the Hollywood heavyweight and his wife, as Scientologists, believe that their first biological child, despite her tender years, has lived for billions of years, and thus knows all there is to know.

As a result, Suri can stay up late till 11pm and need not fear discipline. There are some rules however. The little girl cannot watch TV, and thanks to anti-Scientologist sites, the time she spends surfing the net will be limited when she grows older.

"The Internet has become a major source of problems for Scientology," the Daily Telegraph quoted cult expert Rick Ross, as telling Star. Apart from this, Suri will also be following older siblings Isabella and Connor and be schooled in the controversial church as she grows, and will have only kids of fellow Scientology believers as pals.

There are also restrictions as far as diet is concerned. Fast food will be swapped in favour of an organic diet with boiled barley juice one of its major ingredients. If she gets sick, it will be herbs that are used to treat her and not medicines.

Suri Holmes has a striking resemblence to Cameron Diaz rather than to her parents. Will the biological parents own up ?

It is beyond me how anyone can beleive the teachings of Scientology. Their "profit" was a one-time satanist, science-fiction writer, who created most of his "scientific discoveries" under the influence of narcotics. Lets look at the basics here. After saying "The way to make a million dollars is to start a religion", L. Ron Hubbard creates a "religion" that is centered around aliens and charges a significant amount of money to be in. No psycho-therapy drugs or outside mental health care? Yeah, because the rest of the world knows Scientologists are NUTS to believe any of this crap! They just dont want their members to know, so they keep giving money! And it is an abomination to teach your children this rubbish. To assume they are born knowing everything? That kind of thinking is going to make for some very un-educated, undiciplined, children/teenagers, that will end up in a heap of trouble because they havent been taught boundaries. Evil is guiding this cult, and I pray to God these people see the truth soon. The answer is in Jesus, not the insane ramblings of a greedy, crazed, selfish man, who confessed on his deathbed that his mission was to prevent the Second Coming of Christ.

I was raised a Scientologist in the 70s & 80s, and as an adult, helped launch a very successful Internet company. What a ridiculous statement by both Rick Ross in the article and "Ariel" in the comments about the Internet being a "problem" for Scientologists, and S cientologists not being allowed to use it. Ive used it for research and fun, for as long as its been around. And Ive made my living from it. The fact is, the Internet levels the playing field and makes it possible for BOTH sides of any argument to be heard. Something that did not exist before. And so if you want to see how Scientologists respond to the various rumors, myths and accusations, a good site where a Scientologist who HAS done the research on both sides, can be found And more general-purpose info on Scientology can be found here:

All I have to say is HUH? I am an honours medical anthropology major in school and a Scientologist. My plain old western style MD is also a Scientologist. We (like all people) use a combination of westernized MD, chiropractic, or whatever is appropriate depending on the illness and our cultural background. The only treatment that is not used is drugs for mental issues. However, if one has a valid neurological disorder those same drugs may be used for that. Basically unless there is a physically verifiable, medically defined illness we avoid the use of drugs. We also do not use illegal street drugs. Their are NO dietary restrictions in my religion, there is discipline it is just carried out in a loving not physical punishment. For example the punishment for writing on a wall may be something like helping mommy repaint that wall, or if an older child repainting it themselves. Sure many Scientologists go mostly or all organic but it is not a requirement of the faith but rather their interpretation of what is best for themselves and the planet based on their personal understandings. YOU decide for yourself what is as we say greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics but there is no enforcement or rules there. Please next time, do better research and actually pick up a Scientology book from the library of interview both sides and not just Rick Ross who did not even finish college and is a convicted thief.

If you wrote what you actually knew, no one would read it. And in the words of the famous George Lopez "Don't look at it if you don't like it!"

Half-truths are the specialty for Scientologists. Ask them about their web filtering software. Ask them about the "Knowledge Reports" their children have to fill out in their "schools". And ask them about joining the Sea Org at age 12 for "1 Billion Years" so they can get sent to a gulag on a whim, disconnected from fgamily and friends. But the average Scientologist isn't allowed to know half of these things. Maybe they should spend more time researching their "religion" and less on a"auditing" ...

Oh, those statements are just silly. I'm a Scientologist and my kids certainly eat fast food, they have internet access and they go to public schools. They also go to bed at a regular time during school nights (no later than 9 PM). Who are the researchers for these articles? Pay them more.
