Woody Allen wants to immortalize Scarlett Johansson

New York (ANI): Hollywood director Woody Allen wants actress Scarlett Johansson to be a devoted actress like Meryl Streep and not go the "the Page Six party route." The director, who has worked with Johansson in "Match Point" and many other movies, said that the actress can do wonders for her career if she avoids the party route.

She is "so beautiful and so sexy and so gifted . . . she can do anything, but she has to make the right choices of films and she's got to not go the Page Six party route," New York Post quoted Allen, as telling Maclean's magazine. He added: "I don't want to read about her in the paper with this boyfriend or that boyfriend, or in rehab or taking pills."


He expanded his opinion of her roles and said that she is not quite good in making choices for herself and should rather follow the footsteps of successful actresses like Meryl Streep. "I don't think she's always made great choices. She has to take her acting seriously . . . the way someone like Meryl Streep did it," he said.
 

Scarlett refuses being Woody Allen's muse

Washington (ANI): Actress Scarlett Johansson has denied that she's film director Woody Allen's muse. Allen had previously admitted that Johansson is the inspiration for his films, following in the footsteps of actresses and his former lovers Diane Keaton and Mia Farrow. And Johansson has been involved in the movies that Allen has been making, Match Point in 2005, Scoop in 2006 and the forthcoming Vicky Cristina Barcelona. But even after making the movies together, the Lost In Translation star denies.....

Penelope bags Vicky Cristina Barcelona role

Washington (ANI): Actress Penelope Cruz was finalized for a role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona after meeting with director Woody Allen for just 40 seconds. The Vanilla Sky star, who was offered the role of Maria Elena in the romantic comedy, said that she expected the meeting to last for at least 30 minutes. However, it was over within 40 seconds, which the actress has described 'the quickest job interview she has ever had'. "I was warned our meeting wouldn't take long.....
