Washington (ANI): Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus" parents, who are not happy at all with the topless shot of their daughter, have revealed that they were not around when it was taken. According to a source, Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish had been present at the Vanity Fair shoot all day but had decided to leave before the final, shot was taken.

“They were happy with the photos taken earlier in the day, but they didn"t see the photo in question until now," Usmagazine.com quoted the source as saying. A Vanity Fair rep stated in a statement that the photo had been viewed and approved. "Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot, and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley," the rep said.

Cyrus was pretty embarrassed about the whole thing and is said to be currently hiding out in Nashville.“She"s embarrassed," the source said. "Her parents are really upset about the situation," the source added. Her parents have been at the receiving end of Bill O'Reilly, who blasted the "Achy Breaky Heart Singer" for allowing his teen daughter to pose for Vanity Fair in the first place.

"Vanity Fair ... is not her audience at all," he said, adding that he turned her into a "sex symbol" at 15. He suggested that she appear on the Winfrey show and apologize. "She should go on Oprah and say, 'We made a mistake, here's why and it won't happen again'," he added.

In response to Faith's comments, yeah, i guess all young girls from the ages of 4 to 9 just NEED to see their role model half naked so that they can follow in her footsteps in taking slutty pictures. PUH-LEESE!!!! I am 16 years old and even I would never take pictures like Hannah Montana did. This is not a sign of "growing up into a mature woman", this is clearly a desperate cry for more attention and more publicity from a very IMMATURE young GIRL!! I have a 9 year old little sister and I would never ever show this slutty pic of her role model to her. It would change her whole outlook on Hannah Montana. GROW UP MILEY CYRUS!!

I think that Miley is a very slutty 15 year old. She needs to change her attitude!

I would just like to say I think her pictures are beautiful, I have a 4 year old daughter who watches her show and I am NOT offended. I think this photo expresses her maturity and her step into another chapter of life. She can NOT be another Ashley and Mary-Kate, she is growing up and will mature into not only a talented singer but a beautiful woman. Miley is normal and the fact that she can be normal in the enviroment she has been brought up in, shows confidence and that is something that young girls today NEED to see. People need to see she is 15 she is not there to raise your child she is there to be an added role model. One day my daughter will be 15 and she will make mistakes and that is okay, that is how we learn.

This was clearly manipulation. There is absolutely no excuse for an adult to solicit any underaged girl to take off her clothes for any reason. (except a doctor, etc.) I am outraged that Vanity Fair took advantage of and exploited this girl, but I am also upset that her parents left her alone and unsupervised with these sickos. Let this be a lesson to all the parents out there. Trust no one! Whoever was in charge of and complicit in this CRIME should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. She had no ability to give her legal consent to this.

I would like to know why this is not considered child porn? If it was found on someones computer at home, they would be arrested. She is only 15. Just because she is famous, doesn't mean that she should be manipulated into pictures like this. Yes, we mom's are concerned. My daugher loves Miley and now these pictures are everywhere. They were not just in the magazine. But, ask yourself, if you took pictures like this of a 15 year old where wouuld you be right now?

I am a 30 yr old mom and I would be heartbroken if my young daughter had a picture anywhere such as this. The photographer might have been trying to capture beauty, but sickos in today's society may see something else. This is why we have to be careful in what are young girls see and do. She is a great role model and a beautiful girl, the big deal is what if a small time girl think its ok, pose and displays pictures, what might happen to her. The magazine should have drawn the line
