Four Weddings and a Funeral tops Internet poll

[an error occurred while processing this directive] London (ANI): Hit comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral has been voted the 'Best British Movie' in an Internet poll. The 1994 film narrowly vanquished Monty Python's 'Life of Brian' in the survey of 1,000 adults conducted by Onepoll.com for Virgin Media.

Sir Anthony Hopkins shared the title of 'Britain's Favourite Actor' with Sir Sean Connery, reports the Daily Express. Dame Judi Dench was named the country's favourite actress, ahead of Dame Helen Mirren and Julie Walters.

The top five best UK film was completed with Danny Boyle's cult classic Trainspotting (15 per cent), the latest James Bond Casino Royale (ten per cent) and gangster flick Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (eight per cent). In 'Britain's favourite actor' list, Hugh Grant was in fourth place behind 'Get Carter' star Sir Michael Caine. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
