Dark Knight is the third highest grosser of all time

The film's earnings now stand at 441 million dollars, reports E! Online.

Studio estimates show that the second highest grossing film over the weekend was Pineapple Express, which earned 22.4 million dollars. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor stood third after fetching 16.1 million dollars while 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2' came fourth for earning 10.8 million dollars. Rounding off the top five was Step Brothers, which raked in 8.9 million dollars.
