Washington (ANI): After all the hullabaloo over Batman star Christian Bale's spat with his mum and sister, the actor has termed the entire matter as 'deeply personal'. The actor, who attended the premier of his movie Dark Knight with wife Sandra, looked much more composed but stayed away from any kind of personal questions.

However he briefly addressed his arrest at the Dark Knight conference in Barcelona, demanding a little privacy. "Its a deeply personal matter. I would ask you to respect my privacy in the matter," US Magazine quoted Bale, as saying at the conference.

According to sources, Bale lost his cool when his mum, while asking him for 100,000 pounds to help sis Sharon bring up her three kids, passed derogatory remarks about his wife Sandra. "Christian was stressed, but he didn't lay a finger on anyone. He just got very loud," a source close to Bale said. "Christian's attitude is that this was his mother's fault because she became very provocative in an argument they were having," the source added.

According to the grapevine the actor lost control but as he is much calmer now, he wishes he should have just left the room. "Normally Christian would just call a friend and go out to a pub to cool off, But he was literally trapped into this confrontation with his mother and sister because there was an army of fans and paparazzi outside," a source said.

Bale is also said to have lost his temper on the sets of Terminator when the director of cinematography screwed up a shot. As for his tiff with his mum and sis, his attorney has denied all allegations against Bale and has said the actor left the station without any charges being made against him.

Christian Bale is to Batman what Sean Connery was to James Bond and I'd infinitely prefer Bale over other actors in the role of the Dark Knight. Secondly, I'd suggest deep breathing and counting from 20 to 1 in such cases (I do). More often than not, it works. On the whole though, great going, dude! Keep up the good work.

It can always be trying when mothers stick their noses in where they aren't wanted and start blasting one's wife. I am happy Christian didn't go too far off the handle. It is never plesant to have to defend your wife from personal attacks, and the attacks are all the more painful and personal when coming from family members. Anyway, I wish Chrisian the best of luck going forward.
