Britney, Ledger nominated for People's Choice Award

Washington (ANI): Britney Spears and late Heath Ledger have been nominated for the People's Choice Award. While Britney won the nomination for her guest appearance in "How I Met Your Mother", late Heath Ledger and co-star Christian Bale in The Dark Knight are being considered for favourite on-screen match-up.

The Dark Night, directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan, is also in the nomination list with for favourite movie and favourite cast categories, reports the People magazine. The 2008 superhero film will battle other favourite pairs, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf.

The award ceremony, hosted by Queen Latifah, also saw an additional category for favourite star under 35 marking People's 35th birthday and the show's 35th year.

Washington (ANI): Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger continued to reign at the box office with their Batman movie 'The Dark Knight,' raking in 43.8 million dollars over the weekend.
