Vaughn inks two-year deal with Universal

Vince VaughnActor Vince Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions has signed a two-year, first-look producing deal with Universal Pictures. The deal starts with three flicks in which the 37-year-old might star.

One film is a high-concept comedy 'Male Doula' based on the actor's idea which will be scripted by Dana Fox.

Vaughn will be re-united on two other projects with 'The Break-up' producer Scott Stuber.

Jon Favreau will be scripting one of the two untitled projects, which revolves around couples who attend a retreat to give a boost to their marriages.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]The third flick is 'Realtors' will be a spoof on the competition between rival realtors in the residential housing market.

Universal Pictures chairman Marc Shmuger insisted that the actor was one of the 'smartest guy' and will make a stable position in the company.

"We came away feeling that he was one of the absolute smartest guys in the business, who attended to every part of the process with such focus and has a real touch for what is fresh and interesting for the culture. We think Vince will find a long and comfortable place for himself here," Variety magazine quoted Shmuger, as saying.
