Honour for Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is set to be honoured at New York City's Museum of the Moving Image (MOMI) next November.

The 'Minority Report' star, 45, follows in the footsteps of former honourees Sidney Lumet, Robert De Niro, Richard Gere, Al Pacino, Sidney Poitier, Julia Roberts and James Stewart. MOMI director Rochelle Slovin said they chose Cruise for his outstanding 27-year film career, which started with Endless Love in 1981.

Slovin says, "Tom Cruise is one of the premier American actors of his generation. Working with the great directors of our time - (including) Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Sydney Pollack, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and now Robert Redford - Cruise has given us indelible characters and performances.

The Godfather becomes 'Best Films Of All Time'

London (ANI): Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather' has been named 'The Best Film Of All Time' by directors. The film, starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, beat the likes of 'Gone with the Wind' and 'Taxi Driver' in the poll for Empire magazine, reports the Telegraph.

Washington (ANI): Mega-star Al Pacino was fired from his first job as a cinema user – for staring at himself in a mirror. The 'Godfather' star landed a job at the Rivoli Theatre in New York, and one thing that had him mesmerised was the three-way mirror at the candy counter where he could see himself.
