Reality show Big Brother' star Jade Goody is "devastated" after suffering a miscarriage, reports claim. The 26-year-old mother of two was just under 12 weeks pregnant when she lost the baby and has been left in a state of shock, friends say.

Jade had attended court to see a former child minder convicted of stealing £12,000 from her, while also passing her driving test this week. The stress of these incidents added to the troubled start she had to the year in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' race row.

And Jade has also had a turbulent time with boyfriend Jack Tweed, 19, who claimed they were thrilled to become parents when the news was announced and have since been tipped to get engaged. But the couple was involved in another fracas earlier this month when Jack wrecked a hotel room in an alcohol-fuelled rampage, causing Jade to flee and left to pay a £3,000 bill.

However, Jade is now "absolutely devastated" at the news that she has lost the baby.

A source told the a British tabloid, "The pregnancy came as a surprise, though she and Jack were looking forward to the baby after a very tough few months. She was taken to hospital and told there was nothing the doctors could do. It was very early days still."
