Washington (ANI): After the adult themes of sex addiction in his new comedy series 'Californication", actor David Duchovny has decided to try and capture a younger audience with a kids-oriented half-hour for Cartoon Network. As a part of its plan to make the move from cartoons to live-action programming, Cartoon Network has told Duchovny to give them a pilot-presentation of the live-action project set in junior high. Co-creators on the project are "Even Stevens" creator Matt Dearborn and Robert Mora.

Dearborn has penned the project, which revolves around a junior high school student from a long line of newsmen who turns his school AV Club into a hard-hitting citywide broadcast, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Duchovny, Dearborn and Mora are executive producing. Duchovny, in the meantime, is also busy being executive producer on "Californication," which recently got picked up for a second season.
