The Hobbit movie is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The movie starts with Bilbo Baggins who is a Hobbit starts his journey to the Lonely Mountain which is accompanied by a group of dwarves to reclaim a tresure which was taken from them by the dragon Smaug.
