good concept but stupid direction,
flaws:
1. jimmy shergill goes by himself on to a builiding, that should happen and he should go with force.
2. if they think he is on top of buildings, why dint they use helicopters.
3. anupam kher kept discussing about the important matters in the corridors while the cops are listening.
4. during the bomb detection, there are cops without any protection standing next to bomb squad, that shouldnt happen.
plot is good, but direction could have been much better.
Amazing Movie! Truly spoken about what every Indian feels but can never speak about, breathes but can never show. The movie could have been like any other hollywood movie, but the dialogues took it to another level. It felt so good and patriotic. Being so far from the country, did not stop the feeling that we Indians have harboured the virtues of tolerance, patience and turning the other cheek for too long and that it is time to take action and stand up for ourselves - an eye for an eye. The movie just played out everything that WE (the commone man - so beautifully played by NS) feel, experience and tolerate. WHY ? Hard hitting and an eye opener of a film. We want more such films showing every Indian the mirror !
It is a brilliant film which drives adrineline upto the last moment and yet pushes you to think about the plight of common man. Hindi Cinema has some very intelligent upcoming Directors who , I think will put Hindi Cinema in the World Map... forget about Oscar. We donot need it so long we have films like this one. Whenever we feel the need what we need to do is just hire some British or American director , I am sure we will get the Oscar.

This is a must see movie. This clearly shows you don't need big stars
Anupam Kher, and especially Nasureddin Shah have conveyed a great message. The police, politician all have acted responsibily in this movie
A no frill-thriller... amazing movie. This is one movie that really deserves an Oscar. Great performances by Naseerudin Shah & Anupam Kher, not to forget the rest of the cast, very natural and talented actors tapped to their full potential. Neeraj Pandey has done a great job and the end of the movie I feel empowered, not just "the stupid common man" taken for granted.

Guys watch this movie...... I am speechless...its one of the best hindi movies I have seen of late. Its a gem of a work. My big thanks to Neeraj Pandey and the team who concieved something like this..... wooof!!!! The movie is gonna be in my mind for days to come. Cudos to the team...... This is a movie which I have loved so much after "Khosla ka Ghosla".....nothing to do with Anupam Kher.......sheer cinematic excellence
If EVER a movie REALLY deserved to go into the Oscars from India, this should be the one. Hats off to Neeraj Pandey, Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher and the entire crew for making a film which really deserves to complete the 'Trilogy' after Aamir and Mumbai Meri Jaan.

This film should be india's entry for oscar's because
1. It is a SHORT pic (1.5 hours only)
2. No songs
3. 2 Top actors (Shah and Kher) giving performance of the year
4. Extremely well character selection
5. Obviously - "THE MESSAGE" of the Stupid Common Man
6. Showing the police dept in good light (rarely this happens in bollywood)
7. Shows the 'Solution', NOT the 'problem' - unlike Aamir and Mumbai meri jaan.
8. Accurate potrayal of media - their good AND bad points
9. FANTASTIC directorial debut by Neeraj Pandey, and wonderful Cinematography and photography (Fuwad Khan)
10. If we don't send it now for the Oscars - the world won't know that we are "Not resilient by choice, we are resilient by force"
Let the world know what the Stupid Common Man of India experiences, and what it need, what it wants, and what it WILL do if the cockroaches don't stop
