Ajay Devgan Biography
Ajay Devgn is an Indian Actor born on 2 April 1969 in New Delhi.
Ajay Devgn was born to Veeru Devgan, who is a stunt choreographer and mother Veena Devgan who had produced one film. He is having a brother, Anil Devgan who is a film director. He had completed his schooling in Bappu School and his graduation in Mithibai College. He married to Kajol who is an actress on Feb 23, 1999. They are having two children, Nysa and Yug. He had changed his last name devgan to devgn on his family request.He is the first bollywood person who have an aircraft for transportation.
Ajay Devgn made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante in year 1991. He won a Filmfare Best Debut Award for that film. Then he starred in Jigar with Karishma Kapoor. In 1993 he made a action film Ek Hi Raasta then Platform. In 1994 he made film like Dilwale, Suhaag and Vijaypath which run well on box office.
In year 1994 he starred in film Naajayaz and got nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award. Then 1996 he made a film Diljale.
In year 1997 he came into a comedy film Ishq. Then in 1998 he starred in film Major Saab and Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. Later that year he made another film Zakhm which gave him several awards including the National Film Award for Best Actor and the Star Screen Award for Best Actor.
Then in year 1999 he did Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam which gave a huge success. Soon after he did more two films Hindustan ki kasam and Kachche Dhage.
In 2000 he worked in film Deewane. This film went flop at box office. Later in that year he made his first home production film Raju Chacha with his wife Kajol. It gave a huge success.
In year 2001 he starred in film Yeah Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke which went average in box office. He then came in film Lajja for which he got nominated for Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award. The film did not went well on box office. Then he worked in film Tere Mera Saath Rahen.
He made a film Company in year 2002 for which he again got nominated for Filmfare Best Actor Award and won Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. It went well at box office. Then he released Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi. Later on the same year he also did a film The Legend of Bhagat Singh which did not went well but gave him a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance as well as his second National Film Award for Best Actor. Then he came in a negetive role in film Deewangee. For this role he got Filmfare Best Villain Award, Star Screen Award Best Villain and Zee Cine Award Best Actor in a Negative Role. It went average on box office.
In year 2003 he starred in a horror film Bhoot which was a success on box office. Then he came in a action thriller film Qayamat: City under Threat which went a huge success. Then he worked in film Chori Chori which went flop.
Then in the same year he made a film Gangaajal which made a nomination for Filmfare Best Actor Award. Then he came in Zameen which was a hit.
