This film revolves around the story of two people, who are from two different worlds. Vidyadhar Acharya (Vinay Pathak), who has just shifted from Banaras to Mumbai is a medical representative in a private firm. With a bare survival salary, he manages to find a flat in sales tax colony. He is a man with old world values and he finds it difficult to adjust in the city of professional attitude.
Mehak Malavde (Neha Dhupia) is a chorus dancer in Bollywood, who has learned the tricks of surviving in this fast paced city. Mehak shifts in the flat opposite to Vidya's. Vidya and Mahek starts hating each other at first sight and they get into a series of confrontations.
One day the Vigilance department conducts a raid on his building. Vidya luckily escapes as he is not at home, but Mehak is caught by the officers and is evacuated from her flat. Vidya is very happy as the core cause of his problems has been removed from his building. When he reaches home, he is shocked to see Mehak occupying his house. After lot of blame game, both decide to stay in the same flat. What happens when two people, who can't stand each other, stuck in the same flat will form an interesting story.
Produced by Saurabh Shukla, Pappu Can't Dance Saala has seven songs, which has the music of Malhar and lyrics of Amitabh Bhattacharya and Saurabh Shukla. Mohit Chauhan, Akruti Kakkari, Shreya Ghoshal, Kailash Kher, Sangeet Haldipur, Shilpa Rao and Manasi Scott have rendered their voice for the songs. This movie is one of the most-expected comedy films of year 2011.
