Actor Sanjay Dutt, who has been upheld by the Supreme Court, in relation to the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, said that he won't appeal for mercy against his conviction and will serve his prison sentence. He further said that he would surrender when the time comes.

Talking to the press, Sanjay Dutt said, "...When I am not going for pardon, there is no debate." Reportedly, Dutt broke down while addressing the media. He further said, "This a very, very tough time. Just let me be in peace till I go in."

As per the Apex court's verdict, Dutt would have to serve a five year sentence in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. The 53-year-old actor will have to spend three and a half years in jail as he has already spent 18 months in prison. IANS
