Rishi Kapoor's Only Competitor Is Ranbir

Actor Rishi Kapoor who was the chocolate hero of 1980s is seen doing different roles these days. After his role as dreaded Rauf Lala in Agneepath. D-Day's director Nikhil Advani compares the actor's hunger for variety with a child's greed for toys. Advani roped in Rishi Kapoor to play a sinister slimy gangster in the espionage thriller.

"Rishi Kapoor is like a kid who is in a toy shop and wants everything he sees there. Rishi is like that right now. He is very, very excited. He wants to do every thing," said Advani at the sidelines of the special screening of the film on July 17.

Rishi Kapoor's Competitor Is Ranbir

The negative role in Agneepath has earned Rishi Kapoor great appreciation. Since this appreciation, Kapoor has been scouting for variety in his films. He was last seen as a cop in Aurangzeb.

Advani also told that Rishi Kapoor only sees his son Ranbir Kapoor as his competition. "I think this is Rishi Kapoor's second innings. According to him the only person he is competing with is Ranbir Kapoor. He only wants to do challenging roles," said Advani. Rishi Kapoor plays the role of Dawood Ibrahim in D-Day. The movie is set to hit the theatres on July 19.
