The black money is used to cover unaccounted production costs, even under-the-table actor fees. Anubhav agreed to a deal with the undercover agent which involved only 25 per cent white money and the rest all black. Anubhav also assured that the name of the black money investor will be kept a secret.

Bhagnani said, "I have many ways to make black money white...but the person needs to be genuine. We should not get caught by income tax officials." Vashu Bhagnani offered the investor to buy the distribution rights of a film, paying mainly in cash or black money.

Aneez and Rajeev exposed how corporate firms too are used by film makers to hide the black money. The first sell incomplete films to corporate firms, who then pay the film-maker by cheque. The film-maker shares these cheque payments with the investor of black money, thereby laundering their black money for them.
