2002 Hit-and-Run case: Sallu escapes through cops' help?
Mumbai: Here is yet another BIG trouble for superstar Salman Khan as it was recently reported that Salman was issued a summon to appear in court on 27 December. It's been alleged that the police involved in the case tampered with evidence to help the actor.

According to the media reports, a complaint filed by lawyer-activist Abha Singh, who alleged that a wrong set of doctors were examined in court during the trial. And, this was done on the basis of false information given by the cops. Reportedly, as a result to this, the trial was delayed.

On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan's car Toyota Land Cruiser had rammed into a bakery in Bandra. This accident killed one and injured four, who were sleeping on the pavement. For this hit and run case, Salman was booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

It was reported that Salman has so far escaped prosecution surrounding this case as top police officials have been helping him evade summons repeatedly. But now it looks like this December 27th, which is also Salman's birthday, will judge his fate.
