Salman Khan was busy shooting for Dabangg 2 when he got the sad news of Yash Chopra's death. The actor was in shock and he immediately cancelled the shoot of Dabangg 2 as a mark of respect for the late Yash Chopra.

Yash Chopra and Salman Khan's father Salim Khan were not just colleagues but very good friends too. When Salim Khan got the news of Yash Chopra's death, he immediately rushed to Yash Chopra's residence. Salman Khan also spoke to Aditya Chopra and offered him condolences.

Yash Chopra, who celebrated his 80th birthday on September 27, was the king of romance. He gave superhits like Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni and Dil to Pagal Hai in his five-decade career.

On October 13, Yash Chopra was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra in Mumbai after he was diagnosed with dengue. He died of multi-organ failure on Sunday.
