Actor Arjun Kapoor, who started his acting career with hit movie Ishaqzaade, has now bagged a bigger offer. The budding Bollywood star has been roped to play the lead role in the forthcoming movie 2 States, which has been making rounds in the media for long time. Sajid Nadiawala and Karan Johar have joined hands for the Dharma Productions' this upcoming movie.

According to reports, Sajid Nadiawala and Karan Johar appreciated Arjun Kapoor's acting skills. They feel that he is a perfect match for the role of a Punjabi college boy in the film 2 States. The Bollywood filmmakers liked the story and they want to create a magnificent movie. They are all excited to work on this project together.

The movie 2 States is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel 2 States: The Story of My Marriage. It is the story about a couple coming from two different states in India who face hardships in convincing their parents for approval of their marriage. The story is said to be inspired from the real story of the author and his wife Anusha who are from Delhi and Tamil Nadu, respectively.

However, 2 States will be directed by Abhishek Varman, who is currently Karan Johar's creative director. Karan and Sajid are all praises for this young debutant director and have faith that his talent and creativity makes for a great combination. It is a perfect combination and we wish them all the luck for their new venture.
