Dabangg-Robot sweeps away technical awards at IIFA

Films like Band Baaja Baaraat, Dabangg and Robot stand out as winners for the IIFA technical awards. The awards will be presented to the technician of the concerned films at the IIFA weekend in Toronto on June 25.

Band Baaja Baarat directed by Maneesh Sharma, bagged the awards for editing (Namrata Rao), song recording (Vijay Dayal) and costume designing (Niharika Khan). Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer film Robot swept awards for the Best Art Director (Sabu Cyril), Best Special Effects by Indian Artists and Make-up (Banu).

The Salman Khan starrer blockbuster film Dabangg won awards for Best Choreography for the song, Munni Badnaam Hui''(choreographed by Farah Khan), Best Song Recording (Leslie Fernandes) and Best Action (S. Vijayan).

The award for Best Cinematographer went to Guzaarish (Sudeep Chatterjee) and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy won the award for the Best Background Score for My Name Is Khan. Pritam Das won Best Sound Recording for Love, Sex aur Dhoka.
