It is a well known fact that Ajay prefers doing his stunt himself. He did the same for Rohit Shetty's Singham too. Reportedly, for a few sequence the actor was suggested to have a body double, but Ajay declined the offer immediately. To every ones surprise maximum of Ajay's action sequence were wrapped in one or two takes.
"Before we started shooting for the film, I was a bit apprehensive, because the actions are so extensive and stylised, I wondered whether I'd be able to pull them off," Ajay confesses to Mid Day, stressing that once Singham's shooting began, all his doubts were cleared. Talking further about his perfect action shots, Ajay says, “After doing action for so many years, you know how to move, how to fall... so you're able to minimise chances of any injury. Also safety measures have increased considerably over the years."
The actor says the reason behind his brawny body in Singham the actor says that he has always followed a healthy lifestyle by not overdoing anything. Apart from high intake of protein rich foods Ajay everyday worked out on each body part for two hours. When asked if after Singham he will again take up the action genre, Ajay says, “I don't plan what film I'm going to do next. It all depends on which subject excites me at that point in time," says the actor adding, "After Golmaal, it's only the script of Singham that we deemed right for an action-fuelled comeback."
