There is no plan to ban Lamhaa or create problems for its release. He added, “Our security forces can handle the situation, they are in place." According to the home secretary, the problem cannot be solved by banning or stalling the movie. Pillai further added, “India is a democratic country and everyone has the right to speak up and state their views. I am sure that the release of this kind of movies cannot increase the existing problem."
The director is also happy with the statement made by the Union Home Secretary. Dholakia said, “The government has taken the right decision. The time has come when we should develop an atmosphere of trust to solve the problems in the burning valley of Kashmir." Dholakaia added that his movie does not reflect the views of the government; it tries to show the plight of the residents in Kashmir. It is not even dealing with the outlook of India or Pakistan on the matter. He informed, “We are just showcasing the conditions of the residents of the beautiful valley. I hope the movie does well. "
