Hitler, one of the remarkable personalities in the world as well as Indian history, is going to rule the big screen here after decades of his death.

Entertainment Industries all over the world have earned a lot by making dozens of films and TV series based on his life. Now, it"s Bollywood's turn to cash on the popularity of Adolf Hitler.

Rakesh Ranjan Kumar, the director of the upcoming Bollywood movie Dear Friend Hitler, said, “Our film will try to recall the last few days of Hitler's life. It will try to capture his life in the Berlin bunker as well as the scenario of Germany post Hitler"s death in 1945."

The movie has a close similarity to the highly praised German film Downfall made in 2004, which starred Bruno Ganz. The personality of the German dictator and his relationship with his the close ones as well as his lover during the final days of the Nazi regime, will be the main focus of the film.

According to the makers of the film, title Dear Friend Hitler, refers to Mahatma Gandhi"s two letters to him. Renowned veteran actor Anupam Kher is going to essay the strong and cunning role of Hitler. Kher has earlier played the role of Gandhi in a TV show. Neha Dhupia is the lucky girl to play the role of Eva Braun, who got married to Hitler just hours before they committed suicide in April 1945.

Anupam Kher has confirmed the news in his tweets. The actor even asked for suggestions from his fans regarding the books he should study for better portrayal of the role. Anil Sharma, the producer of the biopic said, “The film will try to depict the insecurities, fear and pressures on the German leader while taking critical decisions."

Sharma is yet to decide on whether to include any song or dance in the film, which has a budget between $2-3 million. The shooting will take place in forests and mountains of India and in studios. The makers plan an International release of the movie, but no date has been fixed yet.

Please do not make historical movies without doing years of homework and reading. The more your read about him, you will come to know about his atrocities on human beings (for your info, i was once a great fan of Hitler as a kid). I conclude from what little I have read that Hitler is not worthy of being shown in good light and again please do not spoil our future generations by only thinking about short-term gains.

I request the director to go through the Internet and see the holocaust shown in original films of Nuremberg trials even if he feels they were Western Media lies, even if only winners write history, and his never-say-die love for Britain and you will come to know about Hitler. It is really strange why Indians love Hitler so much (well this is my feeling after talking to many of my friends and relative) when Hitler himself loved Britain and had special place in his heart for the British. ...

By making such movies, he is setting a very bad example and future generations, which include his own children, will pay a very high price. I do not think he will care since he wants to make money today. About Adolf Hitler, lesser said the better. I request the director to go through the Internet and see the holocaust shown in original films of Nuremberg trials even if he feels they were Western Media lies, even if only winners write history, and his never-say-die love for Britain and you...

I do not know why people nowadays take up Raavan and Hitler and characterize them in good light. If you take the case of Raavan, he is a character in the epic, Ramayana, written by Valmiki in Sanskrit and so it is logical he is the authority on the subject. Therefore, when he himself portrays Raavan as the evildoer and Rama as incarnation of God himself , who the hell is Manirathnam to pass oblique negative references about Rama. By making such movies, he is setting a very bad example and...

This is going to be a really stupid film. Hitler was an evil man, and he actually respected Britain control of India. Even if he 'indirectly' helped, which is poor history, he would've still considered Indians inferior to 'Aryans'
