Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is unhappy with the media for haunting him and creating a mountain out of a mole hill over his presence at the inauguration of the second phase of the Bandra-Worli sea link in Mumbai.

“The media has been hounding me since the event at the sea link has got over, through incessant sms"s and the electronic has followed me even to the theatre where we were seeing Arshad"s film - a fresh controversy has been rapidly manufactured on my involvement in today"s event on the sea link. But of that some other time and space," he wrote on his blog.

The fact is that the Congress party is not happy at his presence at the function, as he is the brand ambassador of BJP-ruled Gujarat and not in good terms with the Gandhi family. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has expressed his displeasure stating that adequate care should have been taken while sending invitations, as it is a government function.

Congress workers claim that they were not aware that Amitabh would attend the function, as his name was not in the invitation list. However, Public Undertakings Minister Jaidutt Kshirsagar, who is also chairperson of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, said that icons like Bachchan and amitabh bachchan,ashok chavan,raymond ronamai,sachin tendulkar were required at the inauguration of this iconic bridge.
