Aamir awarded Padma Bhushan, Saif Padma Shri

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been selected for the prestigious Padma Bhushan award on the occasion of 60th Republic Day. The 44 year old actor has been riding high with the success of his movie 3 Idiots which has broken all Box Office records to become the highest grosser in the history of Bollywood. Aamir's name has been doing the rounds ever since he impressed everyone with his directorial debut Taare Zameena Par.

Bollywood diva of yesteryears Rekha and Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan have been chose for the Padma Shri award. Interestingly Saif's father and legendary cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has also won the Padma Shri award in 1967. Others who won the Padma Shri include cricketer Virender Sehwag and badminton star Saina Nehwal.

Neither Amir nor Saif deserve the award. Amir may deserve it after another 20 years not now. Saif never deserves the award. When you compare regional cinema actors who are more senior more talented and who have given unforgettable films have not got it. Even in Hindi films many more talented people that amir and Saif have not got awards. Hence they both do not deserve this award. If they are sincere they should reject the awards and suggest better contenders who deserve them. FYI- Sharukh and Madhuri and Ash also did not desrve these awrads(at the time they got it).

The legendary Rekha, and Aamir Khan are deserving candidates for these prestigeous awards. Saif Ali Khan is not. It was a sad moment for Indian Cinema when he was given the National Award. Now this is simply OUTRAGEOUS. There are many deserving artists in the Film Industry who should get the award. If we only stepped away from the Khans and Kapoors we'd be able to notice them. Awards in India have become a farce, really. What a shame!

Finally its nice to see Veeru in that list.BCCI has been ignoring his records.Its a shame that he gets Padma shree after MS Dhoni and Harbajan.He got Arjuna award in 2002 and it took almost 8 years for our government to recognise him once again.Anyway its a good news for all veeru fans..
