Will the much-awaited film Short Kut – The Con Is On see the light of the day tomorrow? It all depends on the ruling of the Delhi High Court today. The problem is that a filmmaker has charged actor turned producer Anil Kapoor of lifting his film title.
The promos of Short Kut – The Con Is On were supposed to hit the small screens yesterday but Justice Reva Khetrapal of the Delhi High Court ordered the stay till today following a petition filed by B S Bhullar. The judge also has asked the parties concerned to solve the matter amicably.
Bhullar alleged that he had registered the title Short Kut in September 2005 and had approached Anil Kapoor with the script, offering him a key role. He claimed that the actor turned down his offer and later used it illegally. But why is the matter brought to light at the eleventh hour when the film is ready for release? Only God knows!
