Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has credited late British television celebrity Jade Goody for making her a household name in Britain. In a recent talk show Shilpa said Goody was the architect of her fame and she has to be given due credit for it. It was during the Big Brother 2007 season that Shilpa rose to fame after Goody had made some racial remarks against her.
Shilpa Shetty said that both of them had tried move on with their lives after the Big Brother episode but it would never leave them. She added it was destiny that brought them together on the Indian reality show Bigg Boss which marked the beginning of the end in Goody's life. It was during the show that Jade Goody was diagnosed with cervical cancer which ultimately took her life.
Shilpa also said that she and Goody were weirdly connected as the racism row would be mentioned whenever their name was mentioned together. They had tried to become friends after the ugly incident but the ghost of it would never leave them. Shilpa however regrets that they did not get time to bury the hatchet before Goody's death.
