Sanjay denies have differences with Manyata

Sanjay Dutt, who is presently in Lucknow campaigning for the Samajwadi Party, is amused with the rumours of trouble between him and wife Manyata because he didn't "allow" her to contest the elections in his place.

Dutt says, "People are saying that Maana and I fought because I refused to let her enter politics and allow her to contest from the Lucknow seat this time. Come on Maana is not a greedy person. She was never interested in politics or power but only in looking after her husband and home."

Rubbishing reports of a fight between them Dutt says angrily, "What is a damn ticket? We are above that and love and respect each other. Every normal couple has arguments. Please let us be normal. Maana has gone to London for her textile business. If she's not travelling with me in Bihar it's because I am campaigning in the remote and rough areas it's difficult for her to travel with me everywhere."

He laughs off rumours that she is in the Bahamas for a property deal. "In today's times of recession who would think of buying property in the Bahamas? If we had to buy property we would buy it in Goa. Maana had gone to the Bahamas with her friends now she's in London, meeting up with her friends there, and shopping. I have given her a big list for her to shop for me," he grins.

When asked if Maana doesn't mind Sanju chauvinistic comments like her place is at home and she rules the kitchen, etc, he says firmly, "No Maana doesn't mind. She's a very homely person. For her home and family is first. She has great qualities rare in today's times and I am lucky to have her. Maana is loving, caring, witty, with a great sense of humour and very sacrificing that's Maana for you. Oh! And I forgot she's a great cook too!"

Dutt is touched by the affection shown by the people of Bihar towards him. He's been flying in choppers all over the state campaigning for the SP. Dutt says, "There have been massive crowds wherever I have gone. I am amazed at the love and affection they have shown me.

When I see the appalling conditions the people live here it brings tears in my eyes. Why have a CM in Bihar if we are not willing to provide them basic infra structure like food, clothing, water ?" About roughing it out on the campaign trail he says, "I was in boarding school for 10 years and in jail for nearly four. Who else better than me would know how to rough it out?"
