Sameer Dattani is currently on a new high because he has been signed by none other than Karan Johar for his next film tentatively titled I Hate Luv Stories along with Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. Samir incidentally will be playing the second lead opposite Sonam Kapoor.
Puneet Malhotra (Manish Malhotra"s nephew) is directing the movie. Apparently Punnet had assisted Karan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
Six years down the line, Sameer, who debuted with Rajshri"s film Uuf Kya Jaadoo Mohabbat Hai in 2004, went on do to do a few films like Mukhbir. His Marathon did not make it to the theatres but that has not dampened his spirits. Apparently Sameer is a big name down South. He is known as Dhyaan and has many Kannada super hits to his credit.
Sameer is very excited with the projects on his hand now. He is currently doing Shyam Benegal"s Well Done Abba opposite Minissha Lamba. He is looking for a new lease of life in Bollywood now.
