Not long after blasting his wife over exposing his sexual encounters in his biography An Unlikely Hero: Om Puri and than apologising to her for the same, veteran bollywood actor released the same biography at the 40th International Film Festival of India 2009 yesterday.
Om Puri is all praise for his wife Nandita Puri. He said that it's not easy for a woman to write on her husband and Nandita has done great job in packing up his personal and professional lives with detachment, objectivity and honesty. He added that she has not only highlighted his early life but also ventured into his personal life, affairs, weaknesses and professionalism through this book published by Roli Books.
The actor went on to say that his wife had stripped him naked, and yet he loved being stripped by her. He added that the recent controversy over his biography was caused by some misunderstanding. He added that the media made a mountain out of a mole hill.
It may be recalled that Om Puri poured his outrage at his wife after she revealed his sexual encounters with his maid servant and nanny to the press. He said that he would never forgive her for the mistake. However, he took a U-turn on a second thought and apologised to her.
