But surely, this IIFA - 2009 is going to be disappointing for many audiences, because many Bollywood actors are expected to remain absent on this gorgeous occasion, especially Khans – Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan will not attend the function due to their busy schedules.
First of all Shahrukh, who has attended many IIFA Awards and rocked the occasions with his colourful performance, will not be able to attend the function this year. Presently, he is busy with the shooting of his forthcoming movie My Name is Khan, directed Karan Johar. Along with Karan, SRK will be not able to make it to this occasion.
Secondly, Salman Khan always shines in this kind of occasion and never likes to miss this opportunity. Unfortunately, Sallu Bhai is decided to remain absent on the occasion due to his hectic shooting schedule. He is working very hard in the shooting of his TV show Dus Ka Dum.
Finally, Ghajini actor Aamir Khan does not like award functions. He has hardly attended any Award function earlier also. Even though Ghajini is nominated for Best Movie and he is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in Ghajini, he has decided to remain at home and rest as usual.

Actress Priety Zinta, who has just returned from IPL cricket tour in South Africa, has decided to rest at home. John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee will also remain absent. Saif Ali Khan is also not seen performing with Kareena Kapoor for the actor will be absent due to some unknown reason.
