Ayesha Takia will tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Farhan Azmi, a restaurateur and son of Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi on March 1 in a private and traditional nikaah ceremony at a mosque in Mumbai followed by a grand reception the next day at CCI, Mumbai. The two have been going steady for a long time.
All the preparations are complete including Ayesha's wedding trousseau. Ayesha has finished shooting for Boney Kapoor's Wanted Dead And Alive directed by Prabhu Deva the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Pokkiri and Nagesh Kukunoor's 8x10 Tasveer and is not taking on any more projects. The only film she will shoot after marriage is Revathi's Phir Tum Mil Gaye, a woman-oriented project.
Telugu star Nagarjuna and director Puri Jagannath are expected to attend the reception to be held on March 2. The wedding was supposed to take place in December, but was postponed due to the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
