Moving in disguise across the country to landing at Sourav Ganguly's residence, many would say Aamir Khan has gone idiotic to promote his upcoming movie 3 Idiots. Idiotic or not but the perfectionist has surely landed a hotel owner in Mughalsarai district in trouble in a bid to promote the upcoming Raj Kumar Hirani directed movie. The owner of Hotel Saraswati Vansha Narain Singh has been served a notice for allowing the actor to stay without proper verification.

The local police claimed that the hotel owner Vansha was served notice to explain, as to why he did not verify Aamir Khan properly before letting him to stay there. The police had instructed all the hoteliers that in view of the terror threat, they must verify their guests properly. The hoteliers are also bound to intimate the local police about any suspect, staying in their hotel but none of the procedures were followed.

Aamir along with 10 others had stayed in the Hotel Saraswati from December 10 to 13 during his promotional campaign in the holy town of Varanasi which is 10 kms away. They had booked seven rooms for which no verification was made. Varanasi being a religiously sensitive town has been on the terror radar and Home Ministry had sounded alerts of a possible Taliban trained terrorists planning to strike Varanasi.
