He may call it just a coincidence but Aamir Khan surely won’t go by with a release on Christmas. His film
Taare Zameen Par was released on 2007 Christmas and
Ghajini the following year. Both turned into big hits. Now, his much-hyped film
3 Idiots is also releasing this Christmas.
As fate has it, 3 Idiots was supposed to hit the theatres in October but was postponed to December due to the delay caused by Aamir’s injury. He admitted that Christmas Day has worked wonders and is now hoping to be third time lucky. However, he said that it’s just a coincidence that his big films are being released on this date every year.
In
3 Idiots, Aamir plays a young engineering student, who goes after excellence and not success. He took up the role, which is much younger to his age, due to its similarity to his real life. Like the character in the film, he also ends up doing unusual films. He thinks that he is the idiot of Bollywood.
He acts with Kareena Kapoor for the first time in this film produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
